We are looking for Electrical Engineer / PCB Design Engineer to design, develop, and validate high-performance printed circuit boards (PCBs) for semiconductor systems, including Lidar, photonics, and mixed-signal IC evaluation platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in schematic capture, layout, and board bring-up for both analog and high-speed digital designs.
Key Responsibilities:
- PCB Design & Development
- Design multi-layer PCBs (2–6 layers or more) for evaluation boards, reference designs, and system integration.
- Create schematics, place components, and perform detailed layout using Altium, Cadence, or equivalent tools.
- Optimize layout for signal integrity, power delivery, thermal performance, and manufacturability.
- Bring-Up & Validation
- Support board bring-up, debugging, and lab testing using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other bench equipment.
- Validate signal integrity and power delivery with simulation and measurement tools.
- Collaborate with IC, systems, and firmware teams to ensure design compatibility and functional coverage.
- Documentation & Production
- Generate BOMs, Gerber files, manufacturing documentation, and assembly notes.
- Work with vendors to coordinate PCB fabrication and assembly.
- Support design revisions through product lifecycle.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- 4+ years of experience in PCB design and system-level hardware development.
- Proficient with PCB tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, OrCAD).
- Solid understanding of analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuit design principles.
- Experience designing boards for high-speed signals, power management, or sensor interfaces is a plus.
- Strong lab skills for board bring-up, validation, and troubleshooting.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
