We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Manufacturing and Test Engineer to support the production, validation, and continuous improvement of our advanced IC and optoelectronic products (Lidar and Photonic Products). This role is critical in bridging R&D with operations, ensuring high-quality manufacturing through process development, test automation, and yield analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

Manufacturing Support

  • Develop and optimize assembly, test, and calibration procedures for prototypes and production units.
  • Interface with PCB assembly vendors, contract manufacturers, and test labs to ensure smooth handoff from engineering to production.
  • Implement DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFT (Design for Test) practices into new designs.

Test Development & Execution

  • Design, build, and maintain automated test setups for electrical, optical, and system-level validation.
  • Write test scripts and control routines (Python, LabVIEW, etc.) for bench and production test environments.
  • Perform root-cause analysis on test failures and drive corrective actions.

Process & Quality Improvement

  • Monitor test yields and manufacturing KPIs; work with cross-functional teams to drive improvements.
  • Support product qualification, reliability testing, and failure analysis.
  • Maintain and calibrate lab equipment and fixtures used in production.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Create and maintain test plans, work instructions, and assembly documentation.
  • Report results to design and operations teams and contribute to continual improvement processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in manufacturing test or NPI (New Product Introduction) environments.
  • Proficient with lab instruments (oscilloscopes, SMUs, power supplies, electronic loads).
  • Experience with test automation tools (Python, LabVIEW, MATLAB) and data logging systems.
  • Familiarity with PCB testing, fixture design, and ESD/handling best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Experience with optical or photonic device testing is a plus.
