Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Mixed-Signal Design Automation Engineer to develop, maintain, and support EDA automation workflows for custom analog and mixed-signal IC design for our Lidar and Photonic Products. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience installing, configuring, and automating flows around leading EDA tools from Cadence, Synopsys, and Siemens.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain EDA tools and environments for analog/mixed-signal design teams.
  • Develop and support custom automation scripts to optimize design workflows across Cadence, Synopsys, and Siemens EDA platforms.
  • Build and maintain EDA design flows for schematic capture, simulation, layout, verification (DRC/LVS), and tape-out.
  • Collaborate with design engineers to understand tool needs and integrate best-in-class productivity enhancements.
  • Manage tool licenses, support tool upgrades, and interface with EDA vendors for issue resolution.
  • Document flow usage and provide training for internal engineering teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience with EDA tool environments and flow development.
  • Strong scripting/programming skills in Python, Tcl, Perl, or Shell.
  • Experience with Cadence Virtuoso, Synopsys Custom Compiler, and Siemens Calibre flows.
  • Familiarity with custom analog design environments and mixed-signal simulation (Spectre, AMS Designer, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of analog IC design flow from schematic to layout to signoff.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
